Sherrie Aleen Ruttenbur Black, born April 18, 1948 to Richard Arnold Ruttenbur (Dick) and Lois Cole Ruttenbur in Murray, Utah, passed away peacefully in her home with her children by her side on April 25, 2016. She married the love of her life, Lewis Grant Black in the temple for time and all eternity.  She graduated with an associates degree.  She is a member of the LDS Church.  She loves her children, grandchildren, brothers and sisters and family very much.

She loved camping, music (Elvis, Beatles, Beach Boys) and especially her soda pop. She also loved swimming and movies with her grandchildren.  She worked for the State of Utah where she was able to give people help when they needed it.  She loved genealogy.  She was able to find her long lost siblings.  She loved to paint.  She would knock on people's doors and ask them if she could paint their houses.  She loved everyone.  She treated everyone with respect and love.  She loved her life.  Her family was everything.

She was reunited with her handsome husband, Lewis Grant Black, and her beautiful parents. Survived by her children Jennifer Shelleen Black Ruttenbur, Grant Cole Black and Mindy Brianne Black.  She is also survived by her grandchildren Melisa Carol Black Sandoval, Rylee Grant Black, MarsyElla Sherrie Eustolia Garcia Black, her brothers and sisters Jerry, Colleen, Albert, Denza, Guy, Glenn, Cynthia, Lynn, Mark, Chris and Steven.  She is preceded in death by Clifford, Hyrum, Richard and Lee.  She loved her cousin Sarita like a sister.

We know our beautiful mother is celebrating with all of her family, but she will always be with us in spirit. I am sure my Daddy is driving her around in his hot rod.  She enjoyed that more than anything.  Sherrie Aleen Ruttenbur Black, you'll be missed by many, but always with us in our hearts!  We love you mommy!
