1948 ~ 2018
Shauna Black passed away suddenly on the night of October 23, 2018. She was born September 16, 1948 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Willie and Jean Stocking.
Shauna is survived by her husband of 42 years (Nicholas), her brother (Kim) and her two children (Brandon and Nikki). She also has a niece (Lindsay) and her two children (Hayden and Luke). She is preceded in death by her dad (Willie) and her mom (Jean).
Shauna loved a lot of things animals, reading, sewing, watching sports, playing cards, playing pool, going for drives and hearing a good story. What she loved the most was just being with her family. She had the kind of personality that drew people in, complete strangers would go out of their way to talk to her. She was proud to be an organ donor.
She wanted to be a mom to anyone that needed one, she was a very generous, funny, kind, strong, beautiful and caring person. She was a good woman who was well lived, well loved, an even better wife and mother. There's a quote that sums Shauna up "There is nothing so strong as gentleness and nothing so gentle as real strength and she had them both in spades. We will miss her always and love her forever.
A celebration of life will be held at our house 3554 South Shafer Lane, West Valley City, Utah on November 17, 2018 from 3:00 p.m. until it ends.
