Grantsville, Utah - Russell Chris Clayton, age 72, passed away peacefully in his sleep on August 2, 2021. He was born in Salt Lake City, Utah to Ernest Christian Clayton Jr. and Barbara Ann Berkley on December 7, 1948.
Russell loved the outdoors and spent much of his younger years camping, fishing, and taking road trips. He was an avid gun collector and enjoyed going to the target range to show them off. He liked anything in camo, Duck Dynasty t-shirts, and John Wayne.
Russell is survived by his children; Dean Christian (Kandy) Clayton, Candis Lynn Clayton, Breezie Marie Williams, Russell Ernest (Jessica) Clayton; mother Rena Inez Clayton, and sisters Susie Stiehil, Connie Clayton, Donna (Ryan) Christensen, and Crystal (Brent) Gafa; 11 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
Russell is preceded in death by his daughter Ruschell Holly; father Ernest Christian Clayton Jr.; mother Barbara Ann Berkley, and siblings Jeffery and Peggy Clayton.
A Graveside service will be held on Monday, August 9, 2021 at 11:00 am at Memorial Estates, 6500 S Redwood Road, Taylorsville, Utah.
