Richard (Rick) Dale Ericson passed away while surrounded by family in West Valley City, Utah early Tuesday morning December 29th, 2015 at the age of 61. Richard was born on November 27th, 1954 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Erwin and Shirley Ericson. He was married and sealed to Colleen Marie Turnidge in the Salt Lake Temple on August 5th, 1977.
Richard devoted over 30 years as an employee with the Granite School District. He loved spending his free time outdoors which would often involve him going fishing and camping. Richard enjoyed cooking with his dutch ovens and would frequently cook for the entire family.
Richard is survived by his wife Colleen, his children Scott (Kristi), Holly, and Bryan Ericson as well as his sister Shelly (Mike) Wheeler. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother Russ Ericson.
Viewings will be held on Sunday, January 3, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Monday, January 4, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. The funeral services will be held on Monday, January 4, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. All services will be held at the LDS church building located at 4300 West 4715 South, Kearns, Utah 84118. Interment will immediately follow and will be held at Lake View Memorial Park, 1640 Lake View Drive, Bountiful, Utah 84010. All are welcome to attend.
