Rebecca Ann DeSpain Passed away October 17, 2023 at her West Jordan home, surrounded by her family. She was born October 16, 1942, in Salt Lake City to Percy and Iris Clements. She married her High School sweetheart Cecil DeSpain, September 13, 1963 in the Salt Lake City Temple. They spent 60 wonderful years together.
She loved to paint, crochet, sew wedding dresses and costumes. She taught her children and grandchildren to develop their talents and shared many precious moments doing so. They were all her favorites. Through her years she served in Young Women's, Relief Society, Primary as well as many other callings. Her love of the Savior was shown by the love she showed to others. She touched so many lives in her service. Her family was her life, and she never missed a game, performance or dance recital, including those of her grandchildren. She was our angel on earth. We will truly miss you mom.
She is survived by her loving husband Cecil, children Charlotte & BJ Phillips, Frank & Annette DeSpain, Christine & Tony Taccogno, Duane & Lisa DeSpain, & Jennifer & Ray Johnstun, Grandchildren, Quinn, Paige, Andrew, Kazia, Nicolas, Elena, Kurtis, James, Keela & Shawn, and nine great-grandchildren and counting.
Viewing will be held on Monday, October 23, 2023 from 6-8pm, and Tuesday, October 24, 2023 from 9-10am at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on 8950 S 1300 W, West Jordan. The funeral services will follow the morning viewing on Tuesday, October 24, 2023 in the chapel at 10:30. Interment to follow at the Elysian Burial Gardens 1075 E 4580 S, Millcreek.
