With heavy hearts, we share the unexpected passing of Philip Jude Manzanares on August 20, 2024, at the age of 55. Phil was born on June 25, 1969, in Salt Lake City and grew up in Taylorsville, Utah, as the second of four kids.
Phil had a love for the outdoors, enjoying camping trips and playing horseshoes. He was the kind of brother who took his younger sibling to their first rock concert. He loved singing loudly when he thought no one was listening. Watching the Jazz games with family was a favorite pastime, and he was a proud Utes fan who was rarely seen without his sweats.
Phil was preceded in death by his grandparents, aunts, and uncles. He leaves behind his loving parents, George Ruben and Beatriz Arellano Manzanares; his siblings, Ruben (Kandi) Manzanares, Vincent (Tiasa) Manzanares, and Monica Manzanares Padilla; as well as his three nieces, three nephews, one great-niece, and two great-nephews, all of whom he cared for deeply. Phil was a kind and loving person who will be missed by everyone who knew him. We love you, Phil. Until we meet again.
