Norma Escareno Sanchez, age 57, passed away on July 3, 2025 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Norma was born on September 11, 1967 in Mexico City, Mexico to Maria Guadalupe Sachez and Hurtado Narciso Escareno. She married Edilberto Gomez Toledo on February 23, 1990.
Norma had many hobbies and interests including cooking, grilling, dancing, and traveling. She particularly loved her travels to San Francisco and Wasatch Canyons. Her favorite foods were Mexican food and Chinese buffets and she loved to make fresh fruit juices. She also loved to exercise, plan events, and enjoyed the outdoors. She enjoyed music and often would have playlists of all types of Mexican music playing. Norma loved to laugh--she always had a smile on her face. She always cared for everyone and she was very selfless. She adored her grandchildren. Her home became a safe place for everyone that visited her because she made everyone feel welcome. She was loved by everyone in her ward and her co-workers, but especially by her family.
Norma is survived by her parents, her beloved husband, her two daughters and their husbands, 4 grandchildren, 1 brother, 2 sisters, 3 nephews and 2 nieces.
A visitation will be held for Norma on Monday, July 14, 2025 starting at 6:30pm with a funeral service to follow
The services will be held at the Hunter 19th Ward Meetinghouse located at 2811 South 6400 West, West Valley City, Utah.
