1958 ~ 2019
Mitchell Dean Larson passed from this life and returned to his Heavenly Father on October 2, 2019. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends, but has been lovingly welcomed home on the other side of the veil by those who have preceded him in death. We know it was a happy reunion.
Mitch was born on March 22, 1958 to loving parents Walter Ralph and Marian Dee Haws Larson (Green) in Salt Lake City, Utah. He grew up and attended school in Murray, Utah. He loved the outdoors and was at his best with a fishing pole in his hands. He could catch a fish anywhere, ditch or mud puddle included. In his youth he played softball, nobody could hit the ball farther than Mitch. When he was up to bat, everybody stood to see where the ball was going to land, he was exciting to watch. He also loved to play football in the neighborhood. He was a hard one to tackle to the ground. Mitch was a strong, gentle giant of a man with a big heart. These fond memories and many more will always be cherished by his family.
Mitch married Colleen Ju and together they had a son, Jacob Walter Larson. He was especially proud of his son and the good man he's become. After the marriage ended, Mitch later married Celeste Napolitano, who was with him at his passing.
Mitch has a big loving family and is survived by his wife, Celeste; son Jacob (Teal) Larson; his grandchildren, Madelyn Laneya Larson, Carliah Joy Larson and Magnus Gunnar Larson; step-daughter Erica Holbrook; siblings, Randy (Jeanine) Larson, Dana (Steve) Runyan, Larry (Allisa) Green, Karen (Dave) Prestwich, Angie (Steve) Kouris, Steve Larson, Janae (Sergio) Cobos; his adopted sisters Shelly, Melissa, Sharlete and Jessica; and step-mother Gwen.
He was preceded in death by his parents; step-dad, Lawrence Elden Green; and brother, Walter Brigham Larson.
There will be no viewing or public services. His wish was to have his ashes scattered in the beautiful states of Montana and North Dakota, which he dearly loved. There will be a headstone placed in his memory at the Murray City Cemetery next to his mother.
