Our loving son, brother, father, and uncle, age 41, passed away unexpectedly on November 12, 2017 due to complications of heart disease, diabetes and arthritus. Matthew Max Springer was welcomed into this world with open arms by his parents, Max and Judi Springer, on April 5, 1976 in Granger, Utah. He left us too soon, but take comfort in knowing that he is at peace and no longer in pain, surrounded by Grandma Bev, Grandpa Mark, and other family members who have passed on.
As a child, Matt was very happy. He loved to tease his sisters, but was always a great brother to have around. He also loved throwing a baseball with his dad and would ask him endlessly to do so, even when it was dark. He also loved going to Utah Jazz basketball games, as well as Salt Lake Bees baseball games with his dad. He also loved playing his video games and cuddling with his two cats.
Matt was an avid reader at an early age and continued reading many books throughout his life. You could always find his nose in a book, even when walking down the sidewalk on his way to work.
His greatest treasure was his beautiful daughter, LillieAnne Springer. He was so proud of her and the strong young woman she was becoming.
Matt is survived by his parents, Max and Judi Springer, sisters Melissa Collen, Cherie (Darren) Wilson, and Stacie Springer; his daughter LillieAnne; and nieces and nephews Brayden, Alex, Mackenzie, Dakota, James, Jo, Abbie, Kiera, and Rorie. He is also survived by Grandpa Eddie and Grandma Jo Springer, Grandma Myrna Nielson, Grandma Myrlyn Williamson, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 17, 2017 at 12:00 pm with a viewing to be held at 10:30-11:45 am, at the Murray Utah South Stake Center located at 5735 South Fashion Boulevard, Murray, Utah. Interment at Elysian Burial Gardens, 1075 East 4580 South, Salt Lake City, Utah.
