In Loving Memory of Mac Rae Reber
Mac Rae Reber, aged 93, of Santa Clara, Utah, passed away peacefully on June 8th, 2023. He was born on May 11, 1930, in Santa Clara to Lorin and Lila Reber. Mac was a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and a true cowboy at heart.
Mac graduated from Dixie High School. He proudly served his country during the Korean War. After returning from his military service, in 1954, he married Ione Hall. Although they later divorced, the bond they shared created a beautiful family.
Mac was a hardworking individual. He owned and operated Golden California Trucking, and other trucking companies, which he took great pride in. Later, with his companion Christine Meyer, they owned and operated Hannah Bar and Grill. Mac's dedication was not limited to his business ventures, as he also served on the Hannah Water Board, contributing to the betterment of his community. Mac developed many lifelong friends.
Mac had a deep connection with nature and found solace in the cowboy way of life. Throughout his life he enjoyed ranching, and later in life he cherished spending time with his faithful dog and his horse, herding cattle in the Uintah’s.
Mac is survived by his loving sons, Kevin (Cathy) of Hurricane, Utah, and Brad (Melanie) of St. George, Utah. He leaves behind a legacy of love and a proud lineage of six grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
A celebration of Mac's life will be held on Saturday, June 17th at 1:00 P.M., for close friends and family. For more information about the celebration, please reach out to Brad or Kevin Reber.
As we bid farewell to Mac, let us remember him for his exploring spirit, fun-loving nature, and his love for the cowboy way of life. May his soul find eternal peace, and may his memory be a source of comfort and inspiration to all who had the privilege of knowing him.
