We said our last goodbyes to Lisa Jean Weber, age 56, early in the morning of November 22, 2023. Lisa was born August 6, 1967 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was the first of six children born to Dennis Archibald and Georgia Steimle. Lisa married Michael Joseph Weber on May 12, 1992, which later ended in divorce. During their union, they were blessed with a daughter, April Michelle Weber, born April 6, 1993.
Lisa had a very happy childhood. She enjoyed being the big sister, loved her siblings, and enjoyed doing things with and for them. Putting a record on and dancing in the living room with her sisters was a favorite activity. Her love for children lead her to take child development classes in school and to work in preschools until she had her own child.
Lisa was active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and served a full-time mission in San Jose California. Raising April was the highlight of Lisa's life. True Christ-like love was evident in Lisa's devoted care for her special-needs child.
Lisa was born with a rare form of degenerative muscular dystrophy, myotonic dystrophy. Her battle with this condition came to a quick end when she contracted Covid. Her body was too weak to fight it off and she passed away from complications. She passed surrounded by family. Her quality of life had diminished greatly over the past few years and we are at peace as she is now free from her suffering.
Lisa is survived by her father, Dennis Archibald, a brother, Paul Archibald (Sandi), two sisters, Denise Stark (Joshua), Amy Ricketts (Jon), nine nephews and one niece. She is proceeded in death by her daughter, April Michelle, her mother, Georgia Steimle, a brother, Aaron George, and a sister, Margie Sue.
A viewing/celebration of life will be held for Lisa Thursday, November 30, 2023 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 2666 West 7000 South, West Jordan, UT 84084. A graveside service will be held Friday, December 1, 2023 at 11:00 am, at the Pleasant View cemetery, Malad City, Idaho 83252.
