Linda Gay Clark

d. July 25, 2018

1940 ~ 2018
Linda Gay Clark born November 15th 1940 to Carlos Robinson Clark and Marinda Call. She was the oldest daughter born to this union. Marinda passed away then Carlos married Audrey Reeve and it soon became a saga of his, hers, and theirs. Linda Gay Clark passed away on July 18th 2018 due to complications from the Jazz not winning a playoff championship (in other words a broken heart). She was one of the biggest Jazz fans in the universe! She would go to the games, or watch on TV often screaming at the officials. Linda grew up in the old school way of life on her family farm, working on the farm and later working at the drugstore, walking to school up hill, in the snow - both ways! She lived her life as she did in death, in her own way and on her own terms. A self - proclaimed black sheep of the family, strong willed, free spirited that did not like being told what to do. She married a few times trying to get it right, but no keepers (they had to be thrown back into the lake). She was able to produce her own wolf pack of angels with lots of hard work and determination. Linda enjoyed reading thousands of books (it will never be enough), watching sports, crocheting, laughing (boy her laughter was contagious), and eating ice all day with her Tab. She is survived by her six children Sam (Cheri), Tina Marie, Timothy Carlos (Ella), Ernest Edward, Marinda Carpinteyro (Angel), Cindy Slater (Ron), 17 Grandchildren, 10 Great grandchildren and one Great - great Grandchild on the way. Siblings Bruce (Melva), Daryl (Marlene), Carla Taylor (Brent), Velma Kay Gledhill (Gary), Diane Warner (Rudd), Judy Rice (Glenn), Carolyn Sweat (Lane), Don (Glenda), Gary (Maurette), and the entire extended family. Linda is preceded in death by parents, step mother (Audrey), siblings Kevin Jay, Ronald (Lucy), Dennis (Kay), John and brother in law Brent Taylor. Linda loved to watch Survivor, it was a reflection of her life in the real world. She was full of life, patience and understanding. She would stand by her children no matter what, looking back it often reminds us of a re-mix of the Brady Bunch. She learned quickly how to spoil her grandchildren and to hand them back laughing, glad not to have to change the diaper! Linda loved her fur babies later in life, at times we would be jealous of how pampered and how much attention her dogs received from her (we never had it so good). We will miss you Mom, your laughter, your smile and great sense of humor brightens up our day! If she had it her way, she would tell Dr. K to kiss her... and finally she is Tobacco free, only able to quit now. Please quit this terrible habit for your loved ones. At mom's request there will be no viewing held on her behalf. Graveside services will be held on Friday, July 27, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Farmington City Cemetery (500 South 200 East) Farmington, Utah. The family would like to thank Intermountain Homecare and Hospice for their love and care for our mother.
