Salt Lake City, Utah - LeRoy Bates Sargent, age 88, passed away on September 3, 2021 in Taylorsville, Utah. He was born on January 7, 1933 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He married Mary Darlene Dunn on August 25, 1961. LeRoy and Mary recently celebrated their 60th Wedding Anniversary.
LeRoy served in the Air Force. He loved fishing, music, horseback riding, dancing, and his Country and The Grand Ole Opry. He loved LDS Church and led the music for many years. He was loved by all who knew him and by all who cared for him. He waived and said hi to everyone an laughed everyday.
He is survived by his spouse, Mary Darlene Sargent, his siblings, and many he treated like family. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at Memorial Estates Redwood Cemetery, 6500 South Redwood Road, Taylorsville, Utah, 84123 at 2:00PM.
