Leanna Begay Cosme passed away May 20, 2018 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was born February 18, 1959 in Bluff, Utah to Leonard Begay Sr. and Mary H. Begay.
Leanna graduated from Whitehorse High School and went to the College of Eastern Utah for 2 years. She enjoyed sitting outside and visiting with neighbors and friends. She enjoyed teasing her family and friends. One of her places to visit was the casino. She had a kind heart and always would tell you she loves you. She was loved by many and will be dearly missed.
She is survived by her daughters Lenova Begay Burton (Dwain Burton Jr.) and Laurieann Begay, grandchildren D'on, Taranda Jr. and Monica, sisters Angela Begay, Elizabeth Castillo, Mary Rose Begay, Leona Benally and Laverne Begay, brothers Delbert Begay, Leo Begay, Gerald Begay and Leonard Begay Jr., along with many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
She is preceded in death by her father Leonard Begay Sr., mother Mary H. Begay, brother Lambert Begay and her grandparents.
A viewing for friends in Salt Lake City will be held on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at the LDS Meadow Ward Chapel located at 1955 West 400 North, Salt Lake City, Utah 84116.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, May 25, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. followed by a viewing at 11:00 a.m. at the LDS Church in Montezuma Creek, Utah. Graveside Services will follow at the Prairie Dog Family Cemetery.
