1968 ~ 2017
Our loving Father, Son, Grandfather and brother, age 49, passed away unexpectedly at home on November 26th, 2017. Kevin was born July 29th, 1968 in Long Beach, California to Dennis James Green and Barbara Jean Frakes (Mike). Kevin was raised in Murray, UT.
Kevin had a passion for golf which led him at the age of 12 to place 9th in the Prestigious Junior World championship and win the Salt Lake Junior golf association match play championship as well as many state golf tournaments. He was known for his incredible swing and his perfect putt. He inspired people to play by giving lessons and sharing his love for golf. Kevin Graduated from Cottonwood High School in 1986 where he was known as "The General" because of all his pins and medals on his letterman's jacket.
He worked in the construction and Semi/Conductor industry as a Project manager, estimator and business developer for over 30 years. Which led him to travel throughout the country where he made lifetime friends.
In 1989 Kevin married Paige Randall Cavanaugh and had two beautiful daughters MaCall and Madison. In 2002 Kevin married Sandy Novak Green, and had two more beautiful daughters Grace and Olivia. Nothing brought him more joy than his four daughters. They are the loves of his life. He always went to lunch with the girls at their schools on birthdays, making them his cheesy eggs for breakfast, movie marathons and late-night candy runs. He tried his hardest for one of his girls to pick up his love for golf with no success, even though they loved going mini golfing with him. Kevin loved watching sports, especially his favorite football team The Vikings.
Kevin was survived by his daughters, MaCall Brooke Smith (Braxton), Madison Gentry Geisler (Jesse), Grace Valerie Green, Olivia Anne Green; Brother Mike Green and his beloved dog and best friend Henry Bernard. He was proceeded in death by his parents Dennis and Barbara; Grandparents Arthur and Elsie Rager; Ted Green and Eddie Lenhart.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, December 2nd. Viewing is from 4:30pm to 5:30pm and services will follow at 5:30pm at Memorial Redwood Mortuary and Cemetery 6500 S Redwood Road, Taylorsville, UT 84123.
