John "Jack" Harris
Age 91
Died on Sept. 23rd 2018 of natural causes.
He was born on May 12, 1927 in Baltimore MD. to John W. and Margaret Harris.

His family later moved to Madison, WI where he graduated from high school and later college at the University of Wisconsin. "Go Badgers!!" He spent a year in the army, posted to Germany in late 1945. He went to medical school in Washington DC at George Washington University, specializing in obstetrics and gynecology. He married his love Priscilla Moorefield on Aug. 8, 1953 in Washington DC. He had two interesting fellowships toward the end of his training, working a year in Belfast Ireland and a year in Cape Town, South Africa. They had two sons, John and Patrick and 3 grandchildren. He was in private practice at Western OBGYN in Murray Utah. He retired after a long career in 1997.

Jack loved the outdoors. His passions were fly fishing, skiing, golf and travel.
Jack really loved watching the University of Utah football and basketball teams. (Go UTES!!) He was an avid reader, generally a historical non-fiction or spy novel. He loved the theater, especially the Shakespeare Festival in Cedar City, Utah. He was a great father and loving grandfather.

Jack is survived by: His sons John (Phuntsog) Harris and Patrick (Anne) Harris, and 3 grandchildren Theresa Wangmo, Ryan Harris and Amanda Staples.

Jack is preceded in death by his wife Priscilla Harris.
