Jay Douglas Kilpatrick
May 7, 1936 - September 14, 2013
Jay was born in Salt Lake City, Utah to Andy Jay Kilpatrick and Idella Elizabeth Turner.
He attended West High School where he was active in sports and choir. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, having a strong belief in Jesus Christ and His gospel.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Iva Gillian and his parents. He is also reuniting with his daughter Lana, his brothers Wayne (Barbara), Glenn (Joy), Perry (Bonnie) and Ivan, his sisters Loraine McBride (Sam) and Maxine O'Brien (Ralph), as well as brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, aunts, uncles and cousins.
He is survived by his children Lori Parry Decker (Mitch) and Kevin (Debbie). His ten grandchildren Joshua Parry (Kelly), Michelle Johnson (Chris), Daniel Parry (Jackie), Nathan Parry, Rebecca Parry, Heather Holmes (Tim), Cheryl, Mindy, Jayson and Kaylee. He will be missed by his 13 great grandchildren, Joseph, Lilly, Collin, Samantha, Adalee, Logan, Katie, Brinnley, Audrey, Caleb and Annie. Jay was also very close to Iva's children who spent a lot of time with him the last several years. He was survived by Melvin Conder (JoAnn) , Pat Berry, Carol Merworth, Robert "Buck" Conder (Linda), with their children and grandchildren.
Jay passed away peacefully of natural causes. We'll mostly remember Jay's relaxed, gentle attitude and huge, contagious smile. We'll miss you!!
Viewing will be held Wednesday evening from 6-8pm and Thursday 10-10:30am. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11am. All services will be held at LDS Chapel, 8825 S 1095 W, West Jordan, Utah
