Jason Lee Mann

May 21, 1975 — May 5, 2024

In loving memory of Jason Lee Mann, age 48, who passed on May 5th, 2024. He was the cherished son of parents Pamela Mann and Monty Mann, and was a loving brother to Leslee Mann and uncle to his nephew Donovan. Jason is survived by his wife, Ying Liu and his two beloved cats: Chee-toh and Chance.

Jason will be remembered as a remarkable individual, known for his exceptional sense of humor, his amazing stories, and innate coolness. He possessed a deep passion for adventure, who found solace and joy in traveling and embarking on motorcycle trips and camping with his friends.  Surfing was another passion that allowed him to connect with the ocean's power and beauty.  The great outdoors held a special place in his heart, where he felt most alive.  In addition to his love of the outdoors he was a dedicated Seattle Seahawks and Philadelphia Flyers fan.

The U. S. Navy instilled in him a strong sense of duty and honor as a submariner.  He earned his dolphins and completed three strategic deterrent missile patrols aboard the USS Michigan (SSBN 727), serving as a sonar technician where he showcased his unwavering dedication and commitment.

For a significant portion of his life, Jason worked as a dedicated roughneck, mining for natural gas. His hard work and determination were evident in all that he did. He was not only a skilled professional but also a kind-hearted soul who always knew exactly what to say to those in grief or who were struggling.

His adventures included his job as a home inspector over his last few years.  He truly enjoyed his work and the daily discoveries he would find.  As an inspector, he was always patient, thorough, and professional.  This earned him the honor of being one of the most highly respected and requested home inspectors in the Salt Lake Valley area.

Jason also had impeccable taste in music. He had a deep appreciation for various genres and could always be found listening to his favorite tunes.

Jason Lee Mann will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.  His infectious laughter, love of adventure, and genuine kindness will forever be remembered.  His quick wit and sense of humor brought laughter and smiles to those fortunate enough to know him.   Jason's memory will forever be cherished, and his spirit will continue to inspire those who strive to live life to the fullest.

May he rest in peace.
