Janis Busby Hill

Janis V Busby Hill, our wife, mother, and grandmother, passed unexpectedly from this life on July 17, 2023. She was born on January 27, 1963, to Harley Busby and Virla Bell. Janis married the love of her life, Cary Ray Hill, on September 2, 1982. She is survived by her husband, Cary Hill, her sons Ryan Hill and Casey Hill, her daughter Heather (Matt) Kiisel, her sisters Amy (Dave) Dellenbach and Linda (Phil) Bailey, and her beloved grandchildren Preston, Joanna, Owen, and Vance. She is preceded in death by her parents.

Janis fostered deep friendships that brought her incredible joy. She showered her friends and family with time, attention, and unconditional love. Whether she was on her daily walk, playing games with her family, or sitting with a book in her hand, life was always improved when she had company and was outside. She thrived with the sun on her face, the sand between her toes, and being serenaded by the sounds of nature.

Janis was a doting grandmother who was actively engaged in the activities and lives of her grandchildren, always nurturing, and creating fun. The cheer she brought to those around her will leave a lasting influence on all who knew her. She had unwavering faith in Jesus Christ and confidence in the promises of her covenants.

An open house will be held Monday, July 31 from 2-3 p.m. Services will be held Monday, July 31, 3:00 p.m. at the Olympus 2nd Ward meeting house. 3070 E Nila Way, Salt Lake City, Utah.
