James Louis Gardner, age 78, passed away July 22, 2017. He was born February 21, 1939 in Alexandria, Virginia to Louis and Norma Gardner. He married Miyako Kimori August 9, 1969.
James received a BA in History from the University of Colorado and a MA in History from the University of Hawaii. He lived in Japan for 11 years as he was and English Teacher. He published 5 books of poetry. He was a avid student of history and he loved reading books. He was a genealogist for the LDS church.
He is survived by his wife, Miyako, his son Jason and his daughter Christine.
