Jake Hunter Hansen

Salt Lake City, Utah - Jake Hunter Hansen passed away at the age of 25 on Monday, July 19, 2021. He was born on September 19, 1995 to Jay Hansen and Deborah Chytraus. He was a beloved son, grandson, brother, and friend.



Jake loved the great outdoors. His favorite days were with his brothers and friends around a campfire telling and listening to stories. There isn't a video game out there that Jake hasn't tried. He was often found having a good time with his brothers and was the most fun. He had a great sense of humor. He was always smiling with a grin that would light up the room. He wanted to make sure that everyone was having a good time. He more than earned his nickname, Jakester the Prankster, by playing pranks and ignoring your personal space all to get a good laugh. He was caring and thoughtful. He loved being with family and having deep discussions about everything. Jake is loved and we miss him.



Jake is survived by his father, Jay Hansen; mother, Terra Snow; brothers, Tyler (Nicole) Hansen, Carson Hansen, Shawn Hansen; and his sister, Brittany Snell.



Jake was preceded in death by his mother, Deborah Chytraus; grandfather, Clark Chytraus; and aunt, Stephanie Pond.



We would like to celebrate Jake and will be having a Memorial Service for him on September 19, 2021, Jake's 26th birthday. The location is to be announced at a later time. We would love for everyone to join us at that time. Bring your memories to share or comment so we can share them for you.
