Helen Tamara "Tami" Lavulo
Helen Tamara "Tami" Lavulo, beloved daughter, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, passed away on August 8, 2020 at the age of 67. Tami was born on April 10, 1953 in Bountiful, UT to Clyde and Helen Cook. She was the youngest of seven siblings. As a young woman, Tami was a competitive rifle shooter and played football. Tami attended college at BYU-Hawaii, where she met her future husband Taniela Lavulo. They were later married and had four children together.

Tami will be best remembered for her love for her family. She faced the challenge of single motherhood with courage and dedication to her children, often working several side jobs along with her full time jobs to support them. Tami was a talented artist, and she loved toll painting, woodworking, and cake decorating. She especially loved teaching her grandkids and they often did projects together. She was a movie buff, and one of her favorite activities was piling all the grandkids in the bed with popcorn and watching movies together. Tami had the chance to live in several places around the world, and she enjoyed traveling new countries and learning about the cultures. She was an avid Jazz fan, and especially loved Karl Malone! Tami was always bragging about her children and grandchildren, and also loved to brag about skydiving out of a helicopter with her daughter Heidi over the Swiss Alps.

Tami is preceded in death by her parents Clyde and Helen Cook, sisters Paulette Letz and Jana Whipple, and brothers Jack Cook and Clyde Cook Jr. She is survived by sisters Barbara Dall, Carolyn Wakefield(Larry), and Janet Clark, brother Paul Jensen; daughters Taresa Lavulo, Natalie Winquist(Cameron), Heidi Lavulo, and son Nick Lavulo(Sonia); grandchildren Alex, Jroo, Colby, Nick, Jody, Jessie, Sadie, Maya, Grace, Marley, Kayla, and Korynn; great-grandchildren Madden, Oaklee, and Ira.

A graveside service will be held in her honor on Thursday, August 13 at 2:00 pm at the Bountiful City Cemetery.
