Harold Whittle

Harold Whittle, a devoted father, veteran, entrepreneur, and a man shaped by both hardship and resilience, passed away on March 19, 2026, at the age of 78.

Born on March 7, 1948, in Biloxi, Mississippi, Harold faced significant challenges early in life. His childhood was marked by instability and adversity—experiences that would profoundly shape both his strengths and his struggles. Despite those obstacles, he demonstrated determination and perseverance, forging a path forward through service and education.

Harold proudly served his country in both the U.S. Army and the U.S. Air Force, ultimately achieving the rank of Captain. He pursued higher education to earn a Master’s Degree, where he excelled academically, and went on to build a career as an entrepreneur. Over the years, he started and managed multiple businesses, achieving notable success while navigating the challenges that come with self-employment.

He was the father of six children and worked hard to provide for his family. While his approach to parenting was shaped by his own upbringing, he showed his care in the ways he knew how—ensuring his children’s needs were met and creating opportunities for them to experience life beyond their daily routines.

Harold will be remembered as a man of determination, intelligence, and complexity—someone who endured much, achieved much, and left a lasting impact on those who knew him.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Ellen; his daughters, Emily, Vickie, and Ann Marie; his sons, Noah, John, and Paul; and his brother, Michael. He was preceded in death by his wife, JeriAnn.

A service to honor Harold’s life will be held on March 26 at 1835 S. Washington Fields Rd, Washington, UT 84780.
