Nuestro amado esposo, padre, y abuelo Gonzalo Añasco, de 69 años, falleció el 8 de agosto de 2017 en casa rodeado de su familia.

El 14 de noviembre de 1947 nacio hijo de Bernado Salvador y Zoila Regina en Piñas Ecuador . Al crecer trabajó en el granja familiar y en su tiempo libre él y sus hermanos construían vagones de madera para correr. En 1966 fue conscrito en el ejército ecuatoriano y sirvió durante dos años.

Emigró a la ciudad de Nueva York en 1970 para proporcionar un mayor apoyo a su familia en Ecuador. Allí trabajó en el departamento de envío de Canaan Fashion. Conoció su esposa Natasha en 1977 y se casaron en 1978. Conoció la Iglesia de Jesucristo de los Santos de los Últimos Días y se convirtió miembro en 1982. Él y Natasha, junto con sus hijos, fueron sellados en el templo de Washington DC el 13 de Agosto de 1983. El amaba Nueva York y la vida en esa gran ciudad

El y Natasha decidieron mudarse a Utah en 1989 para proporcionar un futuro mejor para sus hijos. Él comenzó su propio negocio de mantenimiento en 2007 y trabajó hasta que él se retiró en 2015. Él era activo en la iglesia SUD y sirvió en varios llamamientos, incluyendo como el presidente de la rama Park Vista.

Le sobreviven su esposa, Natasha y sus tres hijos: Hubert (Meagan) de Farmington, Charles de Bluffdale, Robert (Hilary) de West Valley City, tres nietas: Eliana, Olivia, Lucy, su hermano Kleber y su hermana Yolanda Piñas. Él es precedido en la muerte por sus padres, abuelos, y hermanos: Adriano, José, Efren, Julio, y Enma.

Le encantaba jugar al billar, ver el boxeo y la lucha libre, y jugar con sus nietas.

Te queremos y te echamos de menos Gonzalo y esperamos el día que te veamos de nuevo.

Una velorio se llevará a cabo en el barrio 22 de Riverton Utah SUD (12345 S 2700 W) el domingo 13 de Agosto de 2017 de 6 a 8 pm y antes del funeral el Lunes 14 de agosto de 10: 00-10: 45 AM. El funeral levará acabo a las 11 AM. El entierro será en el cementerio Memorial Lake Hills localizado en 10055 S State Street, Sandy, UT 84070.





Our beloved Husband, Father, and Grandfather Gonzalo German Añasco, 69, passed away on August 8, 2017 at home surrounded by his family.

He was born on November 14, 1947 in Piñas, Ecuador to Bernado Salvador and Zoila Regina. Growing up, he worked on the family ranch and in his spare time he and his brothers would build boxcars out of wood to race. In 1966 he was conscripted into the Ecuadorian Army and served for two years.

He immigrated to New York City in 1970 to provide greater support for his family in Ecuador. There he worked in the shipping department for Canaan Fashion. He met his wife Natasha in 1977 and they were later married in 1978. He was introduced to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and became a member in 1982.  He and Natasha, along with their children, were sealed in the Washington DC temple on August 13, 1983. He loved New York and the big city life.

He and Natasha decided to move to Utah in 1989 to provide a better future for their sons. He started his own maintenance business in 2007 and worked until he retired in 2015. He was active in the LDS church and served in various callings, including as the Branch President of the Park Vista Branch.

He is survived by his wife Natasha, and his three sons: Hubert (Meagan) of Farmington, Charles of Bluffdale, Robert (Hilary) of West Valley City, three granddaughters: Eliana, Olivia, Lucy, his brother Kleber and sister Yolanda both of Piñas. He is preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, and siblings: Adriano, Jose, Efren, Julio, and Enma.

He loved playing pool, watching boxing and wrestling, and playing with his granddaughters.

We love and miss you Gonzalo and look forward to the day that we will see you again.

A viewing will be held at the Riverton Utah LDS 22nd Ward (12345 S 2700 W) on Sunday August 13, 2017 from 6-8 PM and prior to the funeral on Monday, August 14th from 10:00-10:45 AM. The funeral will follow at 11 AM. Interment will be at the Memorial Lake Hills Cemetery located on 10055 S State Street, Sandy, UT 84070.
