Our wonderful, loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, Gil Higham, age 67, of Taylorsville, Utah, passed away in Sandy, Utah after a short battle with an aggressive cancer. (Cholangiocarcinoma)

He was an avid outdoorsman. He loved deer and elk hunting, camping, and fishing. Gil was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He worked for Wesreco/Crysen, Inland/ Silver Eagle Refinery in Woods Cross, Utah for 39 years.

Married to his wife, Nan for 48 years. Has four children - Brittin (Todd); Brandon; Buck (Rachel); and Brooke. Nine grandchildren - Alexandra, Skyler, Ella, Jordan, Madison, Abigail, Tawny, Theresa and Adriannah. There are many people he had a positive influence on and is considered a father figure to Anna and Brett. He also leaves behind his two dogs - Warg and Kimber.

He loved his family, his country, and God. Gil had a special place in his heart for Wayne County, Utah, where he had many wonderful experiences and memories over the years.

A memorial service for Gilford G. Higham will be held Saturday, February 23, 2019 at 11:30 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints located at 2200 West 56t20 South, Taylorsville, Utah. A light lunch will be served. Casual dress.

His ashes will be scattered in Wayne County, Utah on his beloved Boulder Mountain.
