Faatamali'i Loimata Poleki

Our strong Matriarch, Faatamali'i Loimata Poleki, age 72, passed on to her Heavenly Home on June 11, 2024 surrounded by her family. She was born on July 18, 1952 in Pago Pago, American Samoa and lovingly raised by Tofi Leota and Ponapati Sualua. After graduating high school she worked for the Starkist Company and TAOA. She and Ponapati Fau Poleki were married in 1974 until he passed away in 2012. Her family is comforted by the knowledge that Faatamali'i was greeted at the gates of heaven by her sweetheart, Ponapati Fau Poleki, who preceded her in death and that they are finally together again. 

Faatamali'i loved gardening and yard work, spending quality time with her friends and family, playing BINGO, and going to church. She was very proud of the beautiful family she and her husband created together and the love they all have for each other. 

She is survived by her wonderful progeny of children and grandchildren, Tamara, Matauaina, Utusia, Alofagia, Sualua, Samantha, Talafa, Tapina, Suiai, Pulega, Utusia II. 

She is sorely missed and will be laid to rest in her home island of American Samoa and there will be a service and visitation prior to her burial on July 18, 2024 at her place in Utusia.
