Doyle Bauman, age 86, passed away November 26, 2018 at Holladay Health Care Center in Holladay, Utah. His ashes will be laid to rest on Saturday, September 21, 2019 at Smithfield City Cemetery in Smithfield, Utah.
He retired from Triangle Steel in Torrance, California in the early 90's, where he was a Document Specialist. Retiring to Salt Lake City, UT to ensue his passion: Genealogy.
Doyle graduated from Ogden High School where he met his future wife, Betty Lakey. They had 3 children together: John, Rose, and Noreen. Divorcing in 1962. He eventually settled in Los Angeles.
He enjoyed volunteering for the Jerry Lewis Telethon and spending time with his children. For several years he took ceramic classes; taking 2nd place with one of his vases.
He is preceded in death by his ex-wife Betty Lakey (2000), son John Bauman (2009), daughter Rose Bauman (2016).
Survived by his daughter Noreen James. Grandchildren Richard James, Heather Castillo, Tim James and those he considered his grandchildren; Tanya Letourneau and Tyler James. Great grandchildren in several states.
In lieu of flowers, make donations for the study of prevention/education of Dementia.
