Dan Raymond Dipo passed away peacefully, on January 26, 2024, in West Jordan, Utah, surrounded by his family. He was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on July 3, 1937 to Daniel Anton and Vondra Kartchner Dipo. He lived in Utah his entire life, attending Granite High School.
He married the love of his life, Helen Unsworth, the summer of 1984, they were sealed in the Jordan River Temple, South Jordan, Utah. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Dan owned his own cement business which had a reputation for perfection like no other. The name Dipo became known to stand for “Done In Perfect Order”. Dan loved his work, working hard and loving every minute of it. He loved to do genealogy, gathering his family together. He gathered information on thousands of family members. Dan had the most beautiful, deep bass singing voice. He and Helen often sang beautiful duets together. Dan and Helen had a standing date night every Friday night at the movies. They would go early to get popcorn and drinks and would play cards together waiting for the movie to start.
He is survived by his wife, Helen, his children, Wendy, Leonard and Cindy, his step-children, Lena, Dianne, Doug and Brenda. Together they had 22 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Vondra, his sister Bonnie; his son Craig and daughter Leslie; and step-son Michael.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, February 2, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. at the River Oaks 5th Ward located at 8950 South 1300 West, West Jordan, Utah. A viewing will be held Thursday evening, February 1, 2024 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. and then Friday prior to services at 11:00 -11:45 a.m. at the same location.
