October 1963 ~ February 2021

Salt Lake City, Utah - Craig Taylor Stone, 57, stepped into the welcoming arms of his Savior, Jesus Christ, on February 20th, 2021.

Craig was born October 19th, 1963, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Irene Taylor Stone and Dr Rodney Alan Stone. Craig married Nicole McLelland Stone on July 20th, 1991 and although they had parted ways she was, and remains, a beloved family member. He graduated from the University of Utah and earned a Master's Degree in English Literature. Craig was a teacher at Taylorsville High School, University of Phoenix, and Western Governor's University. He joined the great team at Progrexion Credit Repair while teaching at night. Craig loved his family and was dearly loved by them. He is survived by his son, Caleb Taylor Stone; his former wife, Nicole McLelland Stone; sisters Melanie L. Stone and Michelle A. Bilanzich (Chris); and niece, Emile Irene Franchow.

Craig was a wonderful musician and was a drummer for several local bands. He was included in recording sessions and loved playing live gigs. In early life, he enjoyed family outings in Southern Utah with forays into amateur geology and archeology. Utah may have been home, but the Oregon Coast always held sway when it came to vacations. Caleb and Craig had great fun playing video games and going to concerts. Caleb will always be grateful for the love of literature and music that his dad instilled. Craig was a faithful servant to God, his family, and friends. He lived his life with integrity, honor, and compassion.

For the expert care they provided Craig's family wishes to thank the nurses, doctors, and staff at St. Mark's Hospital.

In accordance with his explicit instructions, there will be no funeral. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial gifts be made to The Brain Injury Alliance of Utah, to honor both Craig and his son Caleb:Brain Injury Assistance, Education, and Advocacy | Brain Injury Alliance of Utah (braininjuryutah.org)Phone: 801-709-1420Address: Brain Injury Alliance of Utah1338 S Foothill DriveUnit #240Salt Lake City, Utah, 84108
