1941 ~ 2016

Buddy Harris, son of Merrell Timothy and Clarence Harris, was born October 12th, 1941. At age 75, after a long battle with Parkinson's disease, he passed away Thursday March 3rd, 2016.

As a student at Jordan Junior High he met his lifetime sweetheart and best friend, Sharon Kaye Petty. They were married and then sealed in the Logan temple for time and all eternity. He graduated from West High School and attended Trade Tech where he became a Journeyman Machinist.

An energetic and athletic man, he enjoyed many team sports, especially baseball, football, and golf, and was an avid BYU fan. He was also an accomplished outdoorsman who loved fishing, hunting and camping. He was a gentle giant and a devoted husband and father who worked hard to provide a loving home for his family. He served faithfully for many years as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

He is survived by his 6 children; Dianna (Stephen) Pezzella, Susan (W. Royce) Ackerman, Victor Harris, Jennifer (Jason) Walles, Mary Harris and Nathan Harris, as well as his 13 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren, and his loving dog Vera.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his sweet wife, his daughter Stephanie, his brothers and sister, and his sons-in-law.

A viewing will be held on Sunday, March 6th from 6-8pm at the 26th Ward, Pioneer Stake.  (1145 West 500 South, Salt Lake City, Utah, 84104)

Funeral services will be held Monday, March 7th at 11am with another viewing 1 hour prior.

Interment will be at Redwood Memorial Estates immediately following the funeral.
