Billie Jeanette Newton

d. November 20, 2020

Billie Jeanette Newton died on November 10th, 2020 at Dixie Regional Medical Center in St. George, Utah.

Billie was born October 28th, 1941 in Salt Lake City, Utah to William and Jessie Grow. She was the 7th and youngest sibling and everybody's favorite. She was small and dainty with long blond hair and blue eyes. Billie was a creator from the time she worked as a teenager in an ice cream store until the very end. She would mix, match, and create wonderful flavors and recipes her entire life.

She choreographed life gracefully and was the glue that kept her family together. Billie was feisty spitfire and you knew if she was unhappy with you.

Boy she could tell a story. Her story telling was always animated and passionate. She could retell your story better than you told her in the first place.

Billie was the best sister anyone could have. She and her sister were both married to Marines and were stationed in Santa Ana, California together. Turns out they were also pregnant with Randy and Danny together in 1960. Those are memories that are cherished still.

Billie moved to San Diego, California in 1973 where she met the love of her life, Lynn Newton better know to all who knows him as "Newt", they married in 1985. Billie and Newt chose to retire in Mesquite, Nevada in 1998.

Billie is preceded in death by her daughter Michelle. She survived by her husband, Lynn, her sons Danny, Curtis (Gloria), Shane, Step children Mark and Nani; her sister Rosemary, six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Billie's final resting place will be in San Diego, her ashes will be scattered on the beach where she expressed many times it was her favorite and the most beautiful place on earth.
