1939 ~ 2019 Beverly Barnson, of St. George, Utah, passed away on November 5, 2019 with her family by her side. She was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Violet Honey and her late husband, Jerry Barnson and her three older brothers, Marlo, Don and Paul. Beverly is survived by her daughters, Jeri Burton and her husband Gene Burton, Teri Fillmore, and son Brad Barnson. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Casey Humphries and his wife Mina, Shawn Ivens and his wife Maria, and Jenna Fillmore. And her great-grandchildren Jacob and Caleb Ivens and Zion and Ezra Humphries.
Beverly was born in Kanab, Utah on April 9, 1939 and graduated from Kanab High School in 1957 where she was a Larriette Cheerleader and played the clarinet. After graduation she married Jerry Barnson and they moved to Las Vegas and raised their three children there.
Beverly had a dual role as working mother, working outside the home as a bookkeeper and secretary, and being a wonderful mother. When they retired they moved to St. George, Utah.
She enjoyed reading, quilting and cross stitching and traveling with her children and friends. But her favorite thing was spending time with her family. One of the joys of her life was when she became a Grandma and a Great-Grandma.
There will be a Celebration of Life on November 23rd, 11am at the South Kanab Chapel, 604 S. 100 E., Kanab, Utah. It will be followed by a graveside dedication at the Kanab City Cemetery. There will be a family meal afterward at the chapel.
