Midvale, Utah -
Austin Colt Healey, aka "Ace", age 28, passed away unexpectedly in Sandy, Utah, on July 2, 2021. Austin was born May 22, 1993 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Austin was one before his time, not only coming into this world 2 months premature, but also departing way too soon.
Early on in his life, Austin tried his hand at just about everything yet was never really interested in playing sports or camping/sightseeing. He would say "Why would you want to drive 4 hours to Yellowstone then wait a couple of hours just to see the Old Faithful Geyser when you can sit on your couch and watch it on the internet?". He did like skiing, swimming, skateboarding, and fishing. His favorite fishing spot was at Yearns Lake.
As he became older, his passion was everything technology related - from computers to gaming to creating his own movies and commercials. He excelled in creative writing, was a member of the school newspaper team and enjoyed writing poetry and lyrics. He loved all genres of music - I guess you could say music was his life. He always represented with his trademark rock band t-shirts. Austin enjoyed playing guitar and drums with interests in many instruments. He had the most charismatic personality. His quick-witted comebacks and great sense of humor always kept us laughing. All who knew him became absorbed by his friendly, positive, energetic disposition.
Austin was quite a prankster. He loved pulling pranks on people and telling a good dirty joke..." That's what she said"! He would get this mischievous grin and a twinkle in his eyes, which always had you wondering what he might have up his sleeve.
Austin had the heart of a lion. He was a very caring and loving person, with a true love for animals, owning several pets of his own throughout his life. He would give the shirt off his back and every cent he had to help someone in need, even if it was his last dime.
With Austin, there wasn't a mold to break as he came into this world without one. His perspective on life was different than most. He didn't sugar coat anything - he always expressed exactly how it was. Sometimes his comments came across as offensive or hurtful, but that was never his intent, he was only stating what he felt was the truth. Austin wanted to be recognized for his own individuality and was not one that wanted to conform to the expectations of society. He believed that everyone should be able to express their true thoughts and feelings, not live their life doing only what would be "socially acceptable" or "normal". Does anyone even know what "normal" is?
He attended Hillcrest Highschool and went on to receive his GED in 2014. He attended Salt Lake Community College, School of Applied Technology to study Media and Web Design. He recently started the enrollment process at SLCC to broaden his studies in Computer and Network Technologies.
Survived by his mother, Misty Healey Rindlisbacher and James Rindlisbacher (stepfather), Jim Healey (grandfather), J.A. Healey (uncle), Bailey Ragsdale(fiancé), Tom Green (biological father), Bobby Green (uncle), Sharon and Jim Mogavero (grandparents), Sierra Browder (sister).
Preceded in death by his grandma Suz Healey, who accepted Austin into heaven with open arms.

We want to honor Ace's love of life with a jubilant memorial, somewhere outdoors at a place that Ace would have wanted us to be together, to share our memories, thoughts and emotions, to be real and raw. A Celebration of Life will take place in late September or early October, 2021, when the weather is cooler.
