Alene Broadbent Bryant

It is with deep sadness that we the passing of Alene Broadhead Bryant who died peacefully at Utah Valley Hospital in Provo, UT on June 11th 2025. She was born to the parents of Leland Thomas Broadhead and Flora Mabel Despain on December 20th 1940 in Nephi, UT. She joined the Air Force and served as an RN in the medforce. She was happily married to Everett Klyce Bryant until he passed in September of 1997. She worked as a nurse at LDS Hospital, Utah Valley Hospital, and the State Mental Hospital, for a total of 47 years. She loved caring for her patients, even after she retired she still continued to care for everyone in her life as the nurse she was proud to be. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who was known for her crocheting, knitting, her love for animals especially her cat Mia, but most of all for being a compassionate, loving, forgiving, encouraging, generous women we were lucky to have in our lives. She will be missed by all.

She is survived by her children: Zelma, Janet (Art); Carrie (Dan); Floralyn (Marcos); Rebecca (Ryan); Kendra (Lee). Her 32 grandchildren and her many many beloved greats and great-great grandkids who she adored more than anything!

A memorial service will be held at 888 S. Freedom Blvd Provo, UT on Friday June, 27th 2025. Viewing will be held from 10:00-11:00AM Funeral Services from 11:30AM-12:30PM. Followed by a graveside service at Memorial Mountain View Cemetery 3115 Bengal Blvd Cottonwood Heights, UT 84121 at 1:30PM.
