Ronald William Snow

February 7, 1937 — January 17, 2024

Ronald William Snow, 86, of Pine Valley, Utah, passed away on Jan. 17, 2024. Ron was born on Feb. 7, 1937, and raised in Cedar City, Utah, by loving parents William and Grace Esplin Snow. Ron’s family moved to St. George, Utah, in his teenage years where he attended Dixie High School and later met and married Linda Lou Crosby. The two had four children together: Stacha, Todd, Trent and Tavish. After a divorce, Ron found love again and married Celia Rencher; they welcomed two more children, Stetson and Shawnee Snow.

As a young father, Ron worked for the state road department of Utah. Later in his career, he became a successful businessman excelling in farming and land development. He contributed heavily to the development of what is now known as Green Valley, Utah. He lived a full and vibrant life and was a true cowboy at heart, with a passion for ranching, his horses and hunting. His toughness and storytelling made him a beloved father and grandfather, often recounting tales of his youth, family and ancestors – he could captivate an audience for hours. His love for his children and grandchildren was evident throughout his life, and the joy he found in their company created timeless memories including summers spent in Pine Valley horseback riding and picking peas from the garden, waking up at dawn for the deer hunt in the fall, and the most magical Christmas Eve parties each winter, as well as sitting around the campfire at his Koosharem home.

He is survived by his wife Celia; children Stacha (Neil) Glauser, Todd Snow, Trent (Joanne) Snow, Tavish Snow and Shawnee (Robert) Snow; sister Elna Rae (Dan) Page; 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents William (Bill) and Grace Snow, and his son,Stetson Snow.

Per his request, there will be no funeral services, but his legacy lives on through the enduring memories shared by those who knew and loved him. The family would like to thank Dammeron Valley Fire and Rescue, Washington County Sheriff’s, as well as friends and neighbors in Veyo.
